EagleNet Announces High-Speed Internet Access Availability Via Holland BPW Fiber System Throughout Holland City
Holland, MI (November 30, 2000) — EagleNet of Holland, Michigan
is pleased to announce the availability of high-speed Internet access
for businesses throughout the City of Holland via the Holland Board of
Public Works fiber optic telecommunications system.
EagleNet has been working together with the Holland BPW throughout the
year in planning the future deployment of their existing fiber optics
system throughout the Holland City limits, and surrounding townships.

with this state-of-the-art alternative high-speed fiber Internet access”,

vision for building out this fiber optic system to provide a very cost

a system such as this will bring to the Holland area.”
EagleNet recently turned up high-speed Internet access across the Holland
Board of Public Works fiber system for the entire Elhart Automotive campus
in Holland.

happy to be involved with the Holland BPW and EagleNet in this new system.”

Luiz Costa from the Holland BPW goes on to say, “The Holland Board
of Public Works has had its fiber optic telecommunications system for
almost 10 years, so we are not new to this technology. EagleNet has become
aware of the great potential of our fiber optic network and has added
yet another service to be offered over the fiber system. This new service
should provide Holland area business customers with cost effective high
speed Internet access. We are building out the fiber system throughout
the Holland area and while fiber service is not available in all areas
yet, the enthusiasm for service will certainly accelerate the build out.
We are looking forward to supporting many new services over this community
resource.
The near future vision is that we'll be expanding into the neighborhoods
and will install equipment that will enable multiple service providers
to seek business opportunities with no barriers in such a way that you
can shop around for a blend of services that can come from more than one
big monopolistic source. Putting it simply, people in Holland will have
the ability to buy not only business services and entertainment from service
providers in the City but also from other townships such as the Holland
Twp.”
