ADSL Troubleshooting

  1. Reboot! Rebooting your computer and/or router will clear any temporary errors your equipment may be experiencing. If your DSL is connected to a single computer, while it is rebooting, take a few seconds to cycle the power on your DSL modem.
  2. Verify hardware connections. Make sure there are no loose or unplugged cables.
  3. Check the status lights on your modem or router. These LEDs will show whether your DSL modem is "synced", or connected to the DSL modem on the other end of the line. Red lights can mean that there's a problem with the DSL line itself. Give us a call and we'll have a tech test the line, and if necessary have a technician dispatched to fix the problem. See the phone numbers at the bottom of the page.
