DSL Setup Instructions for Windows XP
**Attention! All EagleNet ADSL Customers using Windows XP - Please Read!**
Currently, you must have the SpeedStream Ethernet ADSL modem (not USB) to use EagleNet's DSL service with Windows XP. It recommended that you do not use the software that comes with the modem. Windows XP already has the necessary components built in to complete the instillation.
The modem instillation is independent of the operating system. Follow the instructions that came with the modem to begin installation. When you reach the portion of the instructions that explain how to install the software and please refer to follow instructions instead:
- Open your computer's control panel by selecting it from the "Start" menu.
- Select "Network and Internet Connections" from the control panel window.
- Select "Set up or Change your Internet Connection" from the network control panel window.
- This should bring up the Internet Properties Dialog Box shown Below. Click
on the button labeled "Setup..." to start the New Connection wizard.
- Follow the wizard by answering the questions as presented below.
- Enter the Username and Password given to you when yu signed up for DSL service.
- That's it! Your connection is set up and ready to go!
